Understanding, not narration

A voice that truly explains it, not one that only reads it aloud.

Vaani rewrites any webpage into warm spoken teaching. It explains code instead of reading symbols, speaks Hindi and Hinglish on demand, and talks with you about whatever you are learning.

Awaitables

We say that an object is an awaitable object if it can be used in an await expression.

There are three main types of awaitable objects: coroutines, Tasks, and Futures.

The Hinglish moment

Padho English mein, samjho apni bhasha mein.

The page stays in English. The understanding arrives in the language you think in.

react.dev / useEffect
Synchronizing with Effects

Effects let you run some code after rendering so that you can synchronize your component with a system outside of React.

The dependency array tells React to run the Effect again only when one of the listed values changes.

If you specify an empty array, the Effect runs only after the initial render.

Hinglish
Dekho, yeh dependency array React ko batata hai ki Effect kab dobara chalana hai.
Jo values array mein likhi hain, unmein se koi badle, tabhi Effect phir se run hoga. Baaki render pe kuch nahi hota.
Aur agar array khaali chhod do, toh Effect sirf pehle render ke baad ek baar chalta hai. Bas.

Questions, answered plainly

How is this different from text to speech?

Text to speech reads the words on the page out loud. Vaani first understands the page, then teaches it back to you in plain spoken language. On code it explains what the code does instead of reading symbols one by one.

Does it work on any site?

Yes. Vaani works on articles, documentation, blog posts, and most reading pages across the web. Open the page, pick a guide, and press play.

How does Hindi mode work?

The page stays in English. You choose Hindi or Hinglish, and Vaani explains the same content in that language, spoken in a natural Indian voice. You read in English and understand in the language you think in.

What happens when I hit my monthly minutes?

New audio pauses until your next cycle, or you can upgrade for more. Anything you already generated stays yours to replay as often as you like, and replays never count against your minutes.

Is my reading private?

Your reading history is yours. Vaani only processes the page you choose to listen to, and we do not sell your data or build a profile from what you read.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel whenever you like. Your plan runs to the end of the period you already paid for, with no penalty.
